Q. Can I donate music CDs and DVDs to the Library for the collection?

Yes, music CDs and cassette tapes can be donated through the Friends of the Library.

Music CDs and DVDs will be evaluated per our Collection Development and Maintenance Policy, which states that donations/gifts are accepted with the understanding that they become the property of ACLD and will be evaluated against the same selection criteria as purchased materials. Once a gift is accepted by the library, it cannot be returned to the donor even if it is not added to the library collection. Items not added to the library collections are usually donated to the Friends of the Library for inclusion in their used book sales. Proceeds from the sales are used for library support.
