No, the Library does not currently process Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests for our patrons to other libraries who charge for ILL services. The only reasons you would receive a bill for an ILL would be:

1) If the item is damaged while checked out to the patron

2) If the item becomes overdue and the lending library charges an overdue fee, or

3) If you lose an ILL and the Alachua County Library District has to pay the lender to replace the book.

This overdue fee or replacement fee would then be placed on your account. Any amount of ILL fees and/or any overdue ILLs will block you from checking out any materials until the issue is resolved.
