If you are paying your bills online through My Account, you should be able to place hold requests or check out items within five (5) minutes of paying your bill. If a paid bill is still showing on your Fines & Fees list, refresh your session by logging out and back in to your account. If you pay off the bills on your account and you are still unable to use your card, your account is most likely expired. Find out how to renew your account.

If you are paying your bills in-person, library staff should be able to confirm that the bills have been removed from your account and that you are able to checkout materials or place hold requests.
