Yes. Any Florida resident age 18 and older may get a library card in person at any Alachua County Library District location. Adults need to bring a picture ID with current Florida address.
For registration of a minor (ages 4-17), the parent or legal guardian must have their own photo ID with current Florida address plus a form of ID for the child. Examples of ID for the child include, health insurance card, school report card, and birth certificate. For more acceptable forms of ID, please see Get a Library Card.
ACLD library cards are free to any resident of the state of Florida.
