Your web browser might have settings that prevent new logins and passwords from being saved. This might be easy to fix, but steps vary depending on what browser you're using.
Microsoft has a page on enabling autocomplete in Internet Explorer (use the dropdown on the right side of the screen to look at information for various versions of IE).
Mozilla has a page on enabling auto form fill in Firefox.
Google has a page on managing autocomplete in Chrome (which seems to be on by default).
