Q. Where can I access the 1885 Florida State Census?

The Library has the 1885 Florida State Census on microfilm available at the Headquarters Library. It is stored in the microfilm cabinet located near the microform machines. The 1885 Florida Census is a special state census, not federal, and is especially important because the 1890 Federal Census was lost in a fire. However, Alachua County is missing from the 1885 Florida Census, while the other counties in Florida look to be there.
