Please note the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Department Hours: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The lending library determines if an ILL item may be renewed. Renewal requests must be made five weekdays before the due date. Only one renewal is permitted per item. ILL requests made on weekends or days when the Library is closed will not be processed until the following weekday.

To renew an ILL: Email the ILL Department at illref@aclib.us or call the ILL Department at 352-334-3950. Be sure to let staff know the ILL barcode (located on the label or bookstrap on the front of the book) and the title of the item when making your request. When the lending library approves or declines the renewal, ILL staff will update the due date for the item on your library account (if the renewal is approved) and contact you by e-mail if there is a valid e-mail address listed in your account. You can check on item due dates any time by logging into your account on the Library's website, or by phone at 352-334-3950 during normal library hours. If you do not receive an e-mail response or do not see a new due date in your account, please return the item by the due date shown on the label. Please remember ILL items can always be re-requested.
