There are different reasons a purchase suggestion may not be fulfilled by the Library. In some instances, it is due to lack of availability of the item, the cost associated with purchasing the item, or because the item does not meet the Library's purchasing guidelines as outlined in our Collection Development and Maintenance Policy. The Library strives to use our limited resources to satisfy the information needs of the diverse community that we serve in Alachua County.

If you would like to suggest an item to be added to the Library's collection, fill out a Suggest Materials form online. You will need your 14-digit library card number to submit this form. If your purchase suggestion has been denied, you may request that we borrow the item from another library system. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests are available to cardholders who reside in Alachua County.
